Take Time

Many people are prone to prejudging others which is a fact that hurts me and the majority. I, myself, am not excused to being like one at times, but at a part I know that I’m wrong and I try to correct it and look for the answers. This is like setting the mind on the “first impression lasts” idea that is not reliable at all times. There are things that needed to be given time to know before setting any conclusion. It is like a simple problem that scientific method is to be applied. You first identify the problem and observe, and there you get the hypothesis which in life could be your first impressions. Next step is to test your hypothesis whether it’s reliable or not. Testing or experimentation takes a lot of time and effort to find precise answers. A person conducting an experiment should not be in any way biased. After which, one has to analyze the gathered data and after that, one can set a better conclusion that can be use. Hypotheses do not always end up as one of the conclusions, so therefore first impressions do not always define what the character of a person is. It is just a matter of learning how to give chance to people, to let them prove themselves and prove there worth in life too. Life is not always about “what you see is what you get” idea. There are so much more to learn about life. Assuming answers most often lead to a bigger problem. Come to think of it, if you predict things that you aren’t sure about, you can step on someone unconsciously. People get hurt; things soon get out of control. It will be harder to fix things that were led by such act. Things without reliable basis are costly. For example, a friendship stained by doubts, doubts about whether one is loyal or not. A relationship that weakens because of lack of trust. People tend to think that they all ready know everything; that they don’t have to be told and therefore conclude right away which is something very illogical and dangerous. Friendships might end, relationships might be ruined, and trust could be lost.

What’s best is not to set things immediately instead learn to understand things step by step, detail by detail before making a decision. Once something like friendship is lost, it is very difficult to bring back how it used to be. Things like this may seem unimportant but if you take a broader perspective you will realize that in every step we make, be mindful of what lies ahead. Keep in mind that God gave humans the ability to make judgments that had gone through series of studies. It’s heartbreaking that things end with just a mere act of disregarding the truth, a mere act of immaturity. It is an evident deed of cowardice; a person of such is someone afraid to know that he commits mistake for he knows that he is always right. Those kinds of people are not capable of growing in any aspect of life. It is important to listen to explanations for it can bring people peace of mind and clarification instead of setting answers and assuming them right. Once you fail, you can’t accept it and you will not stop unless it satisfies your urge; urge for showing the masses that you’re ideas are never wrong. This thing is not to be imitated nor tolerated by anyone. This hunger is like a disease that gets worst as one denies the truth that no one is perfect and that humans are inevitable to commit mistakes. It is like being stuck in a fantasy world where you think you control things, that what you do is all right and best for everyone which in reality is was far from how you thought it was. When you face the future with such problem, it feels difficult looking back in the past and reminisced the memories that are happy, memories that in a blink of an eye were all gone because of a simple act, prejudging. Be careful for this kind of things cost a priceless amount like friends loyalty, lover’s love, family’s trust and a lot more. Remember that in making decisions, never fail to take time to know all sides, think about it and make good decisions. It will be a better place if it will be at peace and harmony, not of feuds and misunderstandings. Treasure everyone that comes into your life for they play important roles you just don’t know. Better yet, don’t put brands on people you meet instead establish strong intimate relationships that you can cherish for a lifetime. Learn to accept thing and do not to make prior judgments that you soon will regret. It will give one a peaceful and comfortable life without worries of stepping or hurting others, conscience is at peace and things are stable. Be open to things that require deep understanding. Be responsible in everything you do. And never forget to ask God for guidance and wisdom for you to be able to find the answers our hearts desire and find contentment.

Ms. Piggy
